Our program offers courses in three major areas of the sociological enterprise:
- Basic knowledge: Through courses such as sociology, sociological theory, and social philosophy; we hope to instill in our students a personally relevant and critical understanding of society.
- Applied knowledge: Through courses such as introduction to social work, social marketting, and program for social practice; we hope to enable students to discern and solve real world issues through a sociological vision.
- Social analytics: Through courses such as social research methods, analysis of secondary data, and field research in Eastern Taiwan; we hope to enable students to gather, analyze, and explain social data.
